SOLVENT RANGE

More than anything else, Bartoline are perhaps best known for their comprehensive range of DIY solvents. These include Turpentine Substitute, White Spirit, Methylated Spirit, Pure Turpentine and the innovative Bartoline Odour Free White Spirit.

White Spirit BS245
White Spirit is a highly solvent meeting the requirements of BS245. Suitable for general cleaning purposes, brush cleaning and paint thinning. It is more suitable for paint thinning than other solvents as it will not affect the drying time of oil based paints.

White Spirit is the most popular and widely used of all solvents sold by Bartoline.

Available in sizes from 500ml to 205 litres.

 

Turpentine Substitute
Turpentine Substitute is a hydrocarbon solvent suitable for general cleaning purposes and brush cleaning. More competitively priced than White Spirit, it is not suitable for thinning paint as the drying time may be affected.

Available in sizes from 500ml to 205 litres.

 Mineralised Methylated Spirits
Traditionally used for camping stoves, fondues, glass cleaning and other general household duties.

Available in pack sizes from 250ml to 20 litre containers.

Pure Turpentine
Pure Turpentine is an organic solvent particularly favoured by artists for use with oil paints as a cleaner and thinner.

Available in 250ml bottles.
