Bartoline Limited, a privately owned family business first established in 1876 is the leading UK manufacturer of pre-packed solvents, woodcare products, fillers, wallcovering adhesives and many other products associated with the home improvement industry.
Operations are carried out from two purpose built factory units located in the popular market town of Beverley, East Yorkshire.
In May 2003 the company suffered a major fire which completely destroyed the factories, offices and warehouses. This prompted an extensive recovery plan which has resulted in the most modern and safe factory in Europe for packaging of solvents and associated products. The new premises also include an adjacent site which has been dedicated to the manufacture of filler and adhesive products.
These two new facilities have allowed the company to embark on a massive expansion plan with turnover expected at over £22m in 2016. Further opportunities are always being sought as the new facilities invite additional capacity.

The company specialises in the manufacture of decorating sundry products which are distributed extensively through retail, wholesale and trade outlets throughout the United Kingdom and an ever increasing number of countries overseas.
Together with products sold under the Bartoline brand, customers own labels is a speciality with a service which includes everything from original design to finished product. Clients include most of the UK's large multiple DIY retailers and large supermarkets. Toll manufacturing is also a speciality with many other DIY suppliers in the industry taking advantage of the superior facilities the company has to offer.
The market town of Beverley is an ideal location for the company's head office, manufacturing plants and warehouses. Located close to the M62 ensures easy access to all major road networks throughout the UK, the Port of Hull is also only a few miles away making for effective distribution to Europe and beyond.
A fleet of modern vehicles are based at Beverley and with their striking corporate livery are a familiar sight on roads throughout the country. Deliveries can be anything from a few cartons to a maximum of 38 pallets, utilising the newly acquired double deck trailers demanded by most of the large customers.
